Pears
offer an excellent source of vitamin A and C,
folate, and dietary
fiber. Pears also contain
phosphorus and pectin, a soluble fiber that
helps you to control cholesterol levels.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Natural Diced Dried Pears are prepared from
sound, mature, fresh pears
which have been
washed, pitted, sun dried and cut to desired
size (diced).
The product is inspected throughout
the process to assure conformance to
good
manufacturing practices, yielding a clean,
wholesome product which
meets all standards for
human consumption.
PHYSICAL
Color: light to dark brown, characteristic
of un-sulfured dried pears.
Flavor: sweet to tart, typical of the
variety, and free from off flavors.
Defects: reasonably free of defects as
defined by the Dried Fruit Association (DFA) of
California standards for dried pears.
Sizes: available in the style of rings
,diced (3-5,5-8,8-10,10-12 mm),or bulk as a
whole...
PACKAGING
This product is packed bulk (diced or
undiced) in cartons of 10 or 12,5 kgs.
STORAGE/SHELF LIFE
This product is best stored in cool
(40-50°F), dry (50-60% RH) conditions, and
should be used within 6 months for optimal
quality. Store at 32°F or less for prolonged
shelf life.
